Description
Claire Cashmore MBE has just won her ninth medal at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo! In her groundbreaking children’s book, Splash, she writes about her journey. This warm and inspiring tale of perseverance is well worth a read for all ages and I have written a miniature resource pack with some ideas of activities children can enjoy while reading the book.
Claire’s aim for the book was to provide a role model for disabled children everywhere. As such, I wanted to keep it inclusive and accessible for all, in the spirit of the book, so this is an entirely free resource.
The activities are aimed at children of all ages – there are some writing prompts which can be drawn or dictated, some discussion and some art activities.
I hope you enjoy it! You will need a copy of the book, which is widely available.
